2008 Carbon Zaskar Team

This bike makes me want to get fast enough to deserve it - to train 400 miles a week and eat nothing but lean protein. I just saw it in person, and it makes my palms sweaty.

The hardtail is the next fixie...so I assume you'll be on that ASAP...

My aluminum hardail (a 2005 Zaskar) was too advanced, so my mountain bike is a fully rigid steel singlespeed now. I have to beat the girls off with a stick I'm so cool.

you have a singlespeed mountain bike without front or rear shocks? That sounds very hard core.

Oh, it *sounds* hard core - but I don't race it or really even ride it very hard. I like the way the skinny-tube frame looks (especially with a rigid fork) and I like the simplicity of a singlespeed. I'd have to borrow a bike from Summerjob if I wanted to do any serious singletrack.
