I'm out of line? You're outer of liner!

From my midterm evaluations:
"I don't like your kind of people. I don't like to see you come out to this clean country in oily hair, and dressed up in those rolled-up pants, and try to pass yourselves off as decent Americans. I despise your masquerade; the dishonest way you pose yourself, yourself and your fucking family."

No, are you serious? Someone wrote that? Wow! It's good writing - is it plagiarized?

Welllll, *someone* wrote it, but not on my evaluations. It's from Godfather II, a movie I refuse to see because I thought the first one was boring.

My students love me.

Ohhhhh. Well, it would be awesome if one of the students *had* used it in an evaluation. The first Godfather bored me out of my mind. My miiind, I tell you.

I had the same reaction as TOWWAS - to the post, and to The Godfather (the latter of which J.Bro knows as he was sitting next to me when we saw it).

Wait...so your students *don't* hate the way you try to pass yourselves off as decent Americans? And when did you start rolling up your pants?

I'm so confused.

I need a denim blog to feel warm and safe again....ma

P.S. I...I don't know what "ma" is or how it got at the end of my comment above, but I've decided to blame it on gremlins...wet ones...who've been fed after midnight.

IBYB - it makes me think of some Italian opera aria (possibly Rossini) in which someone does a big dramatic pause and then says "ma!" ("But!") and goes on.

So wait, where did your student write it, then? that's pretty sassy, quoting GFII.

I actually liked both GFI and GFII well enough. Didn't think they sucked, anyway.

Well look at you J.Bro., indirectly plagiarizing my plagiarism via a "ghost-student-evaluation". This was my reprimand of R.C. for not signing the bikeco. open order report. I even personalized it...the "rolled-up pants" part was mine...the actual line from Godfather II says "silk suits". How dare you try to pass of my plagiarism as someone else's plagiarism. Shame on you!
